In joining a class, this will be taken as confirmation that you are fit and well to attend. In the event of any changes to this information, please let your teacher know prior to the start of class.
In attending class, it will be taken that you agree to the terms of this disclaimer, that you understand this to be physical exercise class where there may be risk of injury, and that you take responsibility for attending the class at your own risk.
It is always important to work with your body and how you are feeling. Please notify your teacher of any existing or new injuries or conditions which may affect your practise prior to the start of class.
Please be aware that your teacher is unable to offer you any medical opinion or advice and in the event of any uncertainty as to whether you should practise, for example if you are unwell or injured, please consult a medical professional.
Where classes are taught online, your teacher will offer options and verbal adjustments where possible, however please bear in mind that they may not always be able to see you clearly so please always work to a level that you feel safe and comfortable and listen to your body. If any position or pose causes pain or feels beyond a level that you are comfortable working, please come carefully out of the pose and rest.
Please listen to any safety cues or instructions carefully and make sure your practice area is clear of obstructions.
Though it is not advisable to eat directly before a yoga class as this may be uncomfortable, it is advisable that you have eaten and hydrated sufficiently through the day prior to your class.
Online classes are currently taught via Zoom software. This requires you to download the software but it should be free to enter the class. I will endeavour to update you on any changes to services that I become aware of for Zoom. Please be aware that Zoom has audio and camera access. Should your audio and camera be enabled, background noise and visual will be shared. Students’ audio is usually muted at the start of class but please speak with your teacher if you specifically wish for audio and video to be muted. Please bear in mind that without video, your teacher will be unable to see you to offer any visual guidance through the practice. Zoom is independent and I have no control over or affiliation with their terms and service.
For an in-person class, under current social distancing requirements, please ensure that you have your own mat and any other props (of which your teacher would confirm prior to the class) as these cannot be provided for you. Please also be aware that audio and visual cues only will be provided, and no physical adjustments can be offered.
Any information or data provided will be stored securely and kept in confidence. It will be used only for the studio to provide you with a high standard class experience, and to share class access details or to let you know about upcoming events that might be of interest to you. You can request confirmation of your data at any time, and request that it is removed at any time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this form. Please feel free to ask if any queries and I so look forward to seeing you in class.
Be well,
Kim
